Workshop Structure

Arrival, brief introductions, and workshop overview. Meet the other participants and learn what to expect in the next 4 hours.

From peer to leader: Navigate the fundamental mindset change from "doing the work" to "getting work done through others." Understand the difference between Leadership (why we're here, where we're going) and Management (what gets done, when, by whom).

Define direction for your team: Learn to create clarity about goals, priorities, and success metrics. How to translate company objectives into meaningful team purpose and individual contributions that your team actually cares about.

Establish the rhythm and structure: Design your communication cadence, feedback loops, and accountability mechanisms. From weekly check-ins to quarterly assessments – create systems that drive performance without micromanaging.

Handle the conversations everyone avoids: Performance issues, conflicting priorities, team conflicts, and giving tough feedback. Learn to balance relationship-building with results-driven leadership when it really counts.

Charles has mentored and coached top talents throughout his career, helping them to step up and grow into confident leaders and managers.

Before launching Better Boss Co. in 2024, he co-founded two startups – one in immersive automotive tech, the other supporting founders of innovation-driven startups from strategy to investor talks.

Prior to that, Charles led global teams in sales, HR, finance, and marketing at an international tech consultancy.

This is a live, in-person workshop in Mainz with an experienced facilitator. We aim for 4.5 hours max, with strategic breaks to keep you engaged with interactive exercises. Small group size (max. eight people) ensures your questions get individual attention. You'll work on real hiring scenarios, not theoretical content. All materials are yours to keep permanently, but the discussion stays confidential to encourage honest questions.

If you don't feel significantly more confident about leading your team after the workshop, we'll refund your fee. All we ask is that you provide thorough feedback on what you expected based on our workshop description versus what you experienced, and what we'd need to improve to meet those expectations. This helps us continuously refine the program.
